The perfection of natural beaches and coves located in the northwest of the island of Rab, is just over 10 kilometers from the city center and is considered the most popular tourist destination on the island. Although the island can be reached by ferry from Stinica to Mišnjak, Lopar is also connected by a direct ferry line to the village of Valbiska on the island of Krk.
What characterizes Lopar as a tourist destination is the richness and diversity of natural beaches and coves. There are as many as 22 sandy beaches in the Lopar area, the most famous of which are Rajska plaža, Sahara and Livačina. Rajska plaža is a real small sandy paradise with its almost two kilometers of length and has greatly helped people from all over the world to recognize Lopar and develop tourism in this area.
However, you can also find various secluded coves, pebble beaches and surrounding islets, so Lopar is a perfect location for all forms of beach tourism.
There is something for everyone in Lopar: a total of 22 sandy beaches line up one after the other and create an unmistakable image of Lopar. In between there are many small, dreamy coves. We recommend a walk along the coast. That way you will surely find your favorite sandy beach.
Lopar is not called a paradise for sandy beaches for nothing. The clear, warm and shallow water invites you to relax. Whether it is families with small or big children, young couples or retirees – everyone will find their favorite beach in Lopar, regardless of age and interests. Your sandy beach is already waiting for you, just decide which one it will be: Rajska plaža, Livačina, Stolac, Sahara, Podšil, Dubac, Sturič, Ciganka, Siće, Crikvena Dražica, Mel…
There are of course also some nudist beaches, such as Ciganka and Sahara. Stolac beach is an exclusively nudist beach. Some beaches can be easily reached by car, and sometimes a short walk. You can also access hidden and deserted coves with your own boat or a taxi boat.
